The company's director Kiara Mako also runs a retail business under the Relish name, with permanent venues at the Royal Liver Building, The Capital Building and Liverpool Central Library. She said the retail arm of her business is separate and unaffected by the liquidation of the catering side.
She said economic challenges and the covid pandemic had led to the problems that saw Relish Catering fold into liquidation.
Ms Mako said: "We are proud to have supplied catering services across the North West, but due to changes in the market following the pandemic and economic challenges, we made the difficult decision to focus solely on our retail businesses.
"Like every other company during these times, we must review and address financial viability; unfortunately, Relish Event Catering Ltd was not financially viable.
"I’m pleased to confirm that this decision has not impacted any of our valued employees, nor our retail sites situated across the city including the Royal Liver Building, Royal Liver Building The Venue, The Capital Building and, most recently, Liverpool Central Library.
She added: "Our ambitions to continue growing our retail operations offering our signature homemade, locally-sourced food and drink across the Liverpool city region, remain unaffected, and we are looking forwards to moving ahead with renewed focus."
Ms Mako confirmed that while the businesses share a name. Relish Event Catering is not directly connected to any other Relish business she runs.
