Major emergency services response to incident at flats in central Bristol

Police and paramedics have attended an incident at a block of flats near Cabot Circus in Bristol after a man fell from a height and was seriously injured. The emergency services were called just before 11am this morning (Monday, December 5) to the road next to John Cozens House in Great Ann Street, St Jude's, on reports that a man had fallen from a building.

Paramedics and a Critical Care Response Team attended, supported by police, and the injured man was taken to hospital by ambulance, he is understood to be seriously injured.

A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset police told Bristol Live they were investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.

"We responded to a call today to reports that a man had fallen from a building in Great Ann Street, St Jude's just before 11am and attended along with the South Western Ambulance Service," he said. "An individual received treatment at the scene and was taken to hospital," he added.
