A series of major Edinburgh roadworks and temporary closures have been cancelled ahead of the Queen's arrival in the capital.
The body of Her Majesty is due to arrive into Edinburgh on Sunday, where it will be taken to the Palace of Holyroodhouse before being moved to St Giles' in a procession on Monday, September 12.
With warnings across the city for increases in traffic and congestion in the coming days, the council have also shut a series of central roads to allow for the Queen's arrival.

Due to the plans, BEAR Scotland have confirmed a series of roadworks on major routes around Edinburgh will be suspended, including on the M8 and city bypass.
In a statement, BEAR Scotland said: "Roadworks on trunk routes around Edinburgh have been postponed, with increased traffic expected following the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
"The following planned works will be rearranged for a future date:
- M8 Junction 3A bridge refurbishment: The second phase of works was due to take place this weekend but will now be rearranged for a future date.
- M90 gantry repairs: Works scheduled for Monday 12 and Tuesday 13 September will be rescheduled.
- A1 footway improvements at Thorntonloch: Works will be postponed until at least the night of Tuesday 13 September.
- A720 Hermiston Gait eastbound off-slip resurfacing : No work will take place on Monday 12 September.
Tommy Deans, BEAR Scotland’s South East Network Manager, said: “Increased traffic is expected around Edinburgh as large numbers of people travel to the capital to pay their respects to Her Majesty.
“We’re therefore rearranging roadworks that had been planned over the next few days. We thank motorists for their patience and understanding.”
