Police have launched a probe into a major fire in Dundee this week. Officers have appealed for witnesses to come forward following the horror blaze in the city centre.
They have also urged any drivers with dash cam footage or local shop owners with CCTV to also contact them.
The alarm was raised at about 3pm on Monday after reports of smoke near Milnes East Wynd and Douglas Street.
The fire took hold at the former Queen Victoria Works sending plumes of smoke in the air that could be seen across Tayside and north Fife.
Scottish Fire and Rescue sent six appliances to the scene and they battled overnight to put the fire out and dampen the remains.
Locals were told to keep their windows shut and were also advised that water supplies in the affected area could be interrupted as they battled the fire.
A Police Scotland spokesperson confirmed enquiries are ongoing to establish the cause of the fire, which is being treated as unexplained.
Detective Sergeant Sean McCabe said: “We are working to establish the full circumstances of this fire and would urge anyone with information which could help to come forward.
“We would also be keen to speak to anyone with dashcam footage or private CCTV.
“Anyone who can help is asked to call 101, quoting reference 2050 of 25 July, 2022.”
