Recent reports have revealed that major Democratic donors have informed the largest pro-Biden super PAC that approximately $90 million in pledges will remain on hold if President Biden continues to lead the ticket.
Sources familiar with the matter have disclosed that conversations with individuals briefed on the discussions have confirmed this development.
The frozen contributions directed towards the Future Forward super PAC consist of several eight-figure commitments, as indicated by the sources. One donor explicitly mentioned that they had delayed their contribution due to concerns stemming from Biden's debate performance.
This pause in donations coincides with mounting pressure on Biden from certain factions within the Democratic party and advisors, urging him to consider stepping down from the presidential race.
Despite these challenges, Future Forward has already unveiled plans for $250 million in TV and digital advertisements set to kick off following the conclusion of the Democratic National Convention next month.
