Dublin Bus is scrapping its app that gives bus time and route information to thousands of commuters later this month.
The real-time app, which has not been updated in six years, will be removed from the Apple and Android stores on May 16, and the app will stop working from May 23, Dublin Live reports.
Instead, commuters have been advised to download the new TFI Live app launched by the National Transport Authority. The new app gives commuters access to real time departure and journey planning information across the Transport for Ireland network.

A spokesperson for Dublin Bus said: "We wish to advise customers that on Tuesday, May 16, our apps will be removed from both Apple and Android platforms and from Tuesday, May 23, our apps will no longer return real-time bus information.
"The TFI Live app will be the only app for up-to-date reliable information, and we are pleased to be supporting one public transport app."
The key features of the TFI Live app include:
- Ability to view real time departure information for Dublin Bus, Go-Ahead Ireland, Iarnród Éireann, Luas and Bus Éireann
- Option to select your origin and destination to find the best route for your journey
- Search tool, for route specific timetables and maps
- Save your favourite journeys, departures and timetables for quick access on the go
You can download the app on the Transport for Ireland website.
