A major Ayrshire road has been shut down by police due to an ongoing incident.
Ayrshire Roads Alliance reports that the A70 is temporarily closed due with officers in attendance.
Roads bosses have warned that the closure is in effect between Hillhead and Cumnock this evening.
Police Scotland have been contacted for comment.
Ayrshire Roads Alliance said: "The A70 between Hillhead and Cumnock is temporarily closed due to an ongoing Police Incident."
