A three-day electronic music festival that had been billed to turn Maitland Showground into a psytrance rave this month will not go ahead in the Hunter after police were called in to investigate a threat against the hosting venue.
The Frequency Forest festival was scrapped suddenly on Friday evening, September 18, as police made inquiries into an email threat sent earlier this week to the Maitland Showground while Victorian detectives looked into the firebombing of two luxury cars in Melbourne.
