Ashley Cain, Maisie Smith and Amber Rose Gill are some of the stars taking place in this series of Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins.
The former footballer, EastEnders actress and Love Island winner Amber Gill will be put through their paces for a brand new series, which returns to Channel 4 in a couple of weeks' time. The 14 celebrities will be tasked with completely some once in a life time experiences in the Jordanian desert as they're pushed to their limits and beyond.
The new series, the fourth celebrity one, will feature seven 60-minute episodes. SAS: Who Dares Wins sees selected members of the public - and now celebrities too - put through military training exercises to test their physical and mental strength.
Speaking about his decision to do the show, Ashley paid tribute to his daughter Azaylia died of leukaemia in April last year at the age of eight months, adding: "Losing my daughter was the most difficult experience of my life.
"I think to combat trauma you need to step outside your comfort zone and see who you really are. There’s no better way to do that than on Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins, so when the opportunity came, I took it with both hands!"
Whilst actress Maisie added: "I’ve seen the show before and I really wanted to put my mental strength to the test. I’ve always pushed myself but this was beyond limits I didn’t even know I had. It was the best experience of my life."
Brookside actress Jennifer Ellison, TV personality Calum Best, The Only Way Is Essex's Pete Wicks and Ferne McCann are also taking part, as well as Strictly Come Dancing professional AJ Pritchard and his Love Island contestant brother Curtis Pritchard.
On her decision to do the show, Ferne added: "It just felt like the right time in my life to be challenged.
"I had no idea what to expect but I wanted to see how tough it really is. You’re stripped of everything, broken down to the point you have no choice but to build yourself back up again. It was the opportunity of a lifetime and I’m so glad I’ve done it."
Olympic sprinter Dwain Chambers, taekwondo Olympic gold medallist Jade Jones, javelin Olympic gold medallist Fatima Whitbread, boxer Shannon Courtenay and Paralympic high jumper Jonathan Broom-Edwards complete the line-up.
Former US Marine Rudy Reyes will take on his role as chief instructor once more, after stepping in for Ant Middleton. Channel 4 severed ties with him over his 'personal conduct' but he said he had quit the programme as it was more like a "reality show" now.
"SAS is renowned for having the highest standards. We don’t care where they come from or what their net worth is. We demand full throttle excellence no matter celebrity, title or fame," Reyes said ahead of the upcoming series.
