Maintenance worker arrested for aiding New Orleans jail escape says inmate threatened to ‘shank’ him

A maintenance worker arrested for allegedly helping a group of 10 men break out of a New Orleans jail says an inmate threatened to “shank” him if he did not cooperate.

The men escaped from the jail last week through a hole in a bathroom wall. Charges against Sterling Williams were announced by the Louisiana Attorney General’s office on Tuesday.
