Despite high expectations, Ajay Devgn's latest outing, "Maidaan," has struggled to find its footing at the box office, with collections projected to fall short of the Rs 30 crore mark by the end of its first week.
The sports drama got off to a lackluster start during its opening four-day weekend, managing to amass just Rs 19.4 crore, despite benefiting from the Eid holiday period. Even with the advantage of additional screenings from paid previews on Wednesday, the film failed to generate significant revenue, garnering only approximately Rs 2.60 crore. As the week progressed, "Maidaan" witnessed a substantial decline in ticket sales, earning a mere Rs 1.5 crore on regular working days. However, there was a slight uptick in collections on Tuesday, with earnings reaching around Rs 1.65 crore, bringing the film's six-day total to an estimated Rs 25.15 crore.
