Migrants who want to remain in Britain will have to learn English to a high standard, have no criminal record and volunteer in their community, the Home Secretary has said.

Shabana Mahmood set out a series of conditions for those seeking indefinite leave to remain status during her Labour Party conference speech on Monday.
