Earlier today, Anupam Kher shared an emotional video of Mahima Chaudhry, having successfully fought breast cancer and beating the odds. ETimes reached out to Mahima who confirmed that she has started shooting for her next project The Signature with Anupam and Annu Kapoor in Lucknow.
Revealing details of her project she said, "I’m shooting for Last Signature with Anupam Kher and Annu Kapoor. It’s directed by Marathi filmmaker Gajendra Ahire. I’m on set in Lucknow right now." Mahima has not just beaten her health scare, she is ready to jet-set as well. She revealed her plans stating, "Today I will have to finish all my scenes, as tomorrow I fly to Mumbai for my daughter Ariana's birthday."
Anupam Kher's video caught everyone by surprise and Mahima revealed that not just her fans and well-wishers, but even her parents weren't in the know. She said, "I haven't shared my diagnosis with my parents. They will hear about it on the news now. I want to get back and be with them." Mahima also gave us an update on her recovery. She revealed, "I have made a full recovery and I just need all the love and support to get going again."
Thanking her good friend Anupam Kher, she added, "Anupam has been such an angel in my journey. I bless him. It takes a fantastic heart to be the great actor he is. He’s an outstanding human being, too."
Anupam and Mahima's The Signature is the story of a common man and Kher has been sharing updates from the film's shoot and development on his social media regularly. His video with Mahima this morning was also to inform the world that Mahima has resumed work and she was open to more opportunities.
