Mahila Empowerment Party chief and entrepreneur Nowhera Shaik to contest 2024 Lok Sabha election from Hyderabad against Asaduddin Owaisi

Asaduddin Owaisi Lok Sabha Hyderabad Mumbai

MUMBAI: All India Mahila Empowerment Party (AIMEP) chief and entrepreneur Nowhera Shaik announced on Saturday that she would contest Lok Sabha election 2024 from the Hyderabad seat, which is held by Asaduddin Owaisi.

All India Majlise Ittihadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) president Asaduddin Owaisi is the incumbent MP from Hyderabad. Shaik hopes to halt Owaisi's hold in old Hyderabad as he has won this seat in several consecutive elections on wings of his popularity among Muslim voters. This has been an MIM and has given the party victory, besides in Parliament, assembly and civic elections.
