Maharashtra: Two Agniveers killed in shell explosion during practice

Mumbai: Two Agniveers lost their lives when a shell from an Indian field gun exploded during a routine firing practice in Maharashtra's Nashik, police said on Friday. 
The Army has ordered a court of inquiry to find out the exact cause of the accident. 

The deceased men have been identified as Gohil Vishwaraj Singh, 20, and Saifat Shit, 21. Both were part of a team engaged in firing drills at the Artillery Centre when the accident happened.

They were immediately rushed to MH Hospital in Deolali, but they were annpunced dead on arrival. 

Case registered 
Following a complaint by Havildar Ajit Kumar, a case of accidental death has been registered with the Deolali Camp police and further investigation was on. (with Agency inputs)
