Mumbai: Ex-Maharashtra minister and NCP (Ajit Pawar) leader Nawab Malik filed his nomination papers from Mumbai's Mankhurd Shivaji Nagar Assembly seat on Tuesday.
He had filed two nomination forms, one as a candidate of NCP (AP) and another as an Independent.

After filling the nomination, Malik said: "I filed nomination from Mankhurd Shivaji Nagar Vidhan Sabha constituency as an NCP candidate. I had filed the form as an Independent candidate also. But the party has sent the AB form and we submitted it today. Now I am an official candidate for NCP."
Maharashtra will go to polls on November 20 in one phase while the results for the 288-member assembly will be announced on November 23. (With Agency inputs)
