PUNE: The results of the Std XII state board examinations conducted in March 2022 will be declared on Wednesday, state education minister Varsha Gaikwad tweeted on Tuesday.
Students can see their marks online from 1pm on the official websites of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education. Mark sheets will be distributed to students through their schools and junior colleges from 3pm on June 17.
A total of 14.85 lakh students had registered for the examination with 8.17 lakh boys and 6.68 lakh girls.
Applications for re-totalling of marks can be submitted online from June 10 to June 20 while applications for the photocopy of answer sheets can be submitted between June 10 and June 29. Fees for submitting various applications can be paid online.
For re-evaluation of the answer sheets, it is mandatory to first get the photocopy of the answer sheets and pay the prescribed fee. Students should apply for a re-evaluation within five working days of receiving the photocopy of the answer sheet. For any information, the students can check with their respective divisional board offices.
Regular students will get two opportunities to appear in the class improvement scheme. Application forms for the supplementary examination in July-August 2022 will be available on the official website of the state board from June 10. A separate circular will follow.
The HSC examination usually starts by February 20 but for the academic year 2021-22, it was pushed back by two weeks and conducted between March 4 and March 30.
Looking at the lack of writing practice among students due to online classes, the state board had given 30 minutes extra time for a 70-100 mark exam and 15 minutes extra time for a 40-60 mark exam.
No external examiners conducted practical examinations. The respective school teachers conducted the exams based on 40% of the practical syllabus. The board had also increased the number of examination centres so that students could appear for the examination in their own schools and junior colleges instead of travelling to far-off centres.
Despite the early results, admissions to the state's degree colleges will be delayed again this year as CBSE and ISC results are unlikely to be announced before the first week of July.
The academic session too will commence late, as in the past two years. For the first time, HSC results will be announced before the national boards. Last year, the state saw near 100% HSC results as students were given marks based on internal assessments.
"Admissions are anyway getting delayed for the past two years," said a principal. Around 25,000-30,000 students from CBSE and ISC schools in the state appear for the Std XII board exams.
