Maharashtra govt bans sale and use of cruel Glue Traps to catch rats

MUMBAI: Animal rights group, PETA India, has welcomed the recent decision of Maharashtra government to ban the sale, production and usage of the cruel Glue Traps to catch rodents.

These sticky glue pads immediately catch the mice as soon as they step on them, leading to a painful death after several days due to starvation. Many birds, bats, snakes, squirrels have also been fatally trapped by Glue Traps which are carelessly thrown out with the trash.
