MUMBAI: Two months after the Maharashtra cyber police cell made a breakthrough in the loan app scam with the arrest of five accused from Karnataka, it has now approached the CBI to get Interpol’s help in its probe as a link has been found in Nepal following raids on three call centres there. State cyber cops want details from Nepal police through Interpol such as the call centres’ internet protocol (IP) addresses.
Meanwhile, the five arrested accused, including an MBA graduate, have been released on bail in the case as no one from the state has sought their custody after Pune and Beed police interrogated them.
