Maharashtra CEO allows voter document submission via WhatsApp for Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls

Maharashtra Chief Electoral Officer S Chockalingam has directed poll officials to consider voter documents sent through WhatsApp during the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls and asked Booth Level Officers (BLOs) to conduct household verification where required.

People who receive notices through the ECINet software can respond by sending the required documents to their BLOs on WhatsApp, a Maharashtra poll official said on Wednesday.
