Magnus Carlsen set to be part of Chess Olympiad

Magnus Carlsen Olympiad Chennai World Championship AICF

Almost 9 years after winning his maiden World championship in Chennai back in 2013, Magnus Carlsen will be revisiting the city to be part of the 44th chess Olympiad scheduled to be held here from July 28 to August 10.

The 31-year-old was named in Norway’s squad for the tournament. Others in the team include Grandmasters Jon Ludvig Hammer, Aryan Tari, Frode Urkedal and Johan-Sebastian Christiansen.
