At least five people were killed after a magnitude 7.7 earthquake and dozens of aftershocks struck off eastern Indonesia early Saturday, according to the governor of East Nusa Tenggara Province. Tsunami waves of less than one metre were recorded in several areas before authorities lifted the warning about three hours after the earthquake.
East Nusa Tenggara Governor Emanuel Melkiades Laka Lena told a press conference that five people died after falling rubble struck them while they were sleeping.
