Magnet fisherman pulls 17 bullets and mountain bike from Scots river

A magnet fisherman has pulled 17 bullets and a mountain bike from a Scots river.

James Pearson, from East Lothian, shares his finds online with fans and - although being best known for rescuing shopping trolleys from the River Esk - he has also made some intriguing discoveries.

As reported by Edinburgh Live, the 47-year-old revealed his latest haul, which he dragged up from “Bullet Bridge” near Hermiston in Edinburgh last weekend.

And as well as the 17 bullets, the magnet fishing extraordinaire managed to pull out a mountain bike and an unused shotgun shell.

Speaking of the find, James said: “They were found at a place we call ‘Bullet Bridge’ just down from Hermiston Village. I found them on Saturday along with a mountain bike.

“They were in good condition and I believe they are used for competition shooting or are from a sniper rifle.”

The magnet fisherman also pulled up someone's lost retainer - highlighting the weird and wonderful things that can be found lying at the bottom of rivers across Scotland.
