Magic guard Cole Anthony thinks the Boston Celtics cutting Mo Wagner was disrespectful

Orlando Magic guard Cole Anthony thinks the Boston Celtics cutting German big man Moritz Wagner was disrespectful. Speaking in a recent interview with CLNS Media reporter Bobby Manning on a recent episode of the “Garden Report” podcast, the Magic floor general shared his view of the Celtics decision to move on from Wagner when the Orlando center was part of Boston’s roster in 2021.

Anthony praised Wagner’s play with Orlando, highlighting the energy he brings on a night-to-night basis. He commended Wagner’s growth over the years, noting his improvement and maturity as a player.

The reaction to Wagner’s waiver adds an intriguing narrative to the already-fraught ties between the two teams after former Boston guard Eddie House’s criticisms motivated the Magic to a pair of wins.

Check out the talk embedded above to hear Anthony’s words on Wagner’s being cut by Boston for yourself.
