A Maghull woman founded her own 'wild warrior women' coaching business after feeling "overwhelmed" by the demands many women face in everyday life.
Lauren Gwynne, 35, founded The Wild Warrior Women in 2019. The company offers regular walks, one-to-one coaching, six week self development courses and retreats, which have brought about transformations and impressive results for participants.
Lauren was on mission to help improve the mental, physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing of women. Her Wild Warrior Women aims to give participants the tools to align with the healthiest, happiest and most authentic version of themselves possible.

It encompasses various activities and practises such as meditation, yoga, breathwork, cold water therapy and self healing sharing circles, women become empowered to be more accountable for the choices they make. Newfound friendships have been formed in the process, with women celebrating and supporting each other.
Lauren is a breathwork facilitator, a qualified Hill and Moorlands Leader, has a Soul Coach Masters diploma, is a business development coach, and has completed many International Leadership Management awards. The Wild Warrior Women has a team of women leaders who bring many qualities and skills to the group which help guide and develop women in order to be the best version of themselves possible.
Lauren created the concept in response to the pressure on women in today's society, with many suffering from mental, physical, emotional issues, as well as exhaustion due to high demands of society and the expectations they may place on themselves. She said: "The role expected of today's modern woman is really challenging and although many women see themselves as strong, carrying the label of strong can make us invalidate our needs to be supported, held, heard and vulnerable.
"It can become overwhelming being a parent, partner, carer and going to work or looking after the home — often neglecting ourselves in the process as we place others first — but we must remember we can't pour from an empty cup. The idea of The Wild Warrior Women is to give them a safe space to simply be, to be joyous, playful, honest and happy — sharing with them the tools and wisdom to cultivate inner peace, confidence and courage to communicate and create better relationships.
"To ultimately live a better life they are truly happy with. It is beautiful to see women connecting with themselves and other women in a healthy way again — being muses not machines and unleashing their wild feminine essence."
The regular Wild Warrior Women's walks involve walking in different locations all over the country while being taught mindfulness practises to improve wellbeing. Sessions cost £60 to attend.
The one-to-one coaching sessions involve a two hour journey of "self-discovery, with sananga, reiki, meditation, conscious connected breathwork ceremonies, intention setting and cold water therapy". It costs from £50 for this "very personal experience''.
The six week self development course takes women on a "journey of deep transformation" through ancient wisdom, practical exercises, breathwork ceremonies, ice baths, a "deeper understanding of meditation" and much more, at a cost of £250. The Wild Warrior Women retreats involve two or three day retreats in idyllic places such as The Lake District and include accommodation, nutritious food and many different practices and sharing circles over the weekend.
Lauren added: "The aim of The Wild Warrior Women is to show women that they have the power and it is all within. Many of us are suffering due to childhood programming, conditioning, trauma and even ancestral trauma but we can cultivate the courage to change. It can be daunting embarking upon this journey but we have a strong network of women who are waiting to celebrate you and will support you."
Wild Warrior Women offers various activities and practises to support the mental, physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing of women in Merseyside. For more information, click here.
