Married At First Sight UK star Thomas Hartley has hinted his and Adrian Sanderson's romance on the show is far from over after viewers were left concerned over their future.
In scenes aired on Friday, 31-year-old Thomas admitted during the commitment ceremony he wanted to leave the experiment after his parents advised him to.
Thomas confessed the lack of intimacy in his and 37-year-old Adrian's romance made him want to quit.
He explained: "Obviously it's a massive compromise for me to have to understand where he's coming from because it's been a long time – I feel like I've been here for years."
Adrian added: "I can't take that sort of jump without being sure. That's some really dangerous territory."
When he was then asked to reveal his decision, Thomas said he had chosen to leave, while Adrian then showed he had written stay.
As Adrian put his heart on his sleeve, Thomas was left emotional and ultimately decided to change his mind and stay for another week.
Thomas, who issued an apology after receiving death threats over his row with Sophie, said: "It makes me have feels inside to know it’s more than a friendship. It shows he’s fighting.
"He’s given me a reason not to give up."
As the emotional scenes aired, fans shared their concerns about the future of the couple on Twitter.
One wrote: "Thomas and Adrian have got me an emotional wreck here. I believe there is more than friendship there but the environment hasn't let romance truly blossom for them. I hope they find their way back to one another sooner or later #MAFS #Marriedatfirstsight #MAFSUK".
Another urged: "Am I the only person who really wants Thomas and Adrian to make it ? I feel they bring out good in each other and Adrian can really ground Thomas".
But, Thomas has now appeared to hint the pair after the emotional scenes. Speaking in an video posted to his Instagram story the mental health care assistant, who previously explained he wasn't home to watch the latest episode, said: "Guys, I know where you are up to on the show because I lived it. It's not over yet."
He later expanded as he answered a question from a fan which read: "You left off Adrian as a friend?"
Thomas then revealed: "Guys you'll be pleased to know – I know what point you're up to – but the show's not over yet. What I will say is – and this is no criticism to anyone – but when I date someone...
"OK say I'm dating someone and we're eight weeks down the line and we haven't even kissed with tongues? Come on guys.
"You can love someone, but when I meet someone and anyone will vouch for this who's 31 or even 41 – there's gotta be a level of intimacy, there's gotta be something. It wasn't there for us at that time."
