Married At First Sight UK star George Roberts has called out how the E4 show is “edited” after explosive scenes with his new wife April Banbury on their honeymoon.
The father-of-four was left stunned in Wednesday night’s episode when he discovered April had shared a kiss with another woman shortly after jetting off on holiday.
As George confronted April, an explosive row ensued in scenes last night – but George has now hit out at the storyline.
“We all love an edit,” he sassily wrote on his Instagram stories after the episode aired, alongside an eye-rolling emoji.
As the episode played out, George asked April about the kiss she shared with a woman behind his back - a fellow hotel guest.
George was gutted and revealed: “I've been cheated on,” as he broke down in tears to the cameras.
He detailed: “I woke up this morning numb and cold. Yesterday we ended up having a lovely evening. Then I went away for a short while, I came back and realised there had been an incident.
“I don't know if I feel comfortable doing this. It was heartbreaking and a massive kick in the teeth. She's been intimate with somebody else. I've been cheated on. F**k, sorry…”
As April went to see him, she brought him a bottle of drink as a peace offering before asking why he stormed off.
April then claimed it was a game of "dares" and she kissed a girl in a hot tub as part of a dare, with her seeming baffled as to why he was so upset.
She told him: "We were all mucking around, playing dares and stuff, having a laugh."
This led to George asking if she had kissed more than one person, to which she replied: "No of course not, I'm really sorry if it has upset you but I didn't even think anything of it. It really was nothing, it wasn't."
Viewers were stunned by the moment just days into the show, and the pair's marriage, after they seemed to get on well during their ceremony.
Many fans were divided over who was in the wrong, with one writing: "Goodness me, April kissed someone else on her HONEYMOON, she doesn't think it's a big deal and George is the one who apologies??"
Another agreed: "April needs to grow up, about 'dares'. You're 32 luv," as a third said: "April thinks her actions are innocent because it was a dare! Wow!"
Others backed April though, with one writing: "Sooooo April kissed another girl for a dare???? Was that all???"
A second commented: "I was just about to give April the worst contestant crown and then it turns out she's kissed a girl in the hot tub. Rude yes, reason to scream cheating and drama meh not so much."
