Married At First Sight (MAFS) groom Scott McCristal has finally spoken out after his partner Gia Fleur spoiled their storyline and announced she has moved on with someone else.
While their relationship is still playing out on screens, with Scott telling Gia at last week’s Dinner Party that she is his “soulmate”, the 35-year-old mum-of-one recently revealed that she is dating another reality star — Love Triangle’s Alan Wallace.
“I can’t keep pretending I’m with Scott when I’m so in love with Alan,” she told Daily Mail. Alan also confirmed the news, saying that the pair are officially boyfriend and girlfriend, and sources told Woman’s Day that they’re now living together.
MAFS’ Scott speaks out about Gia’s new relationship
Scott initially tried to play dumb when PEDESTRIAN.TV asked him about Gia’s new romance, joking that there are “a lot of fake articles out there” and he “hasn’t seen anything”.
“I’ll tell you what, if she’s having an affair right now, that’s not a very good feeling, is it?” he remarked. “Right now, she’s married, so I don’t know what she’s doing if she’s with another bloke, because I didn’t know that!”
However, he quickly gave up the act to address the circulating rumours that Gia’s new beau Alan used to date his ex-girlfriend Abby. Scott explained that he reached out to his ex, and she confirmed that they were never in a relationship, but did go out on one date.
“I spoke to my ex because she’s a mate of mine, and no, they did not date. I don’t even know if they hooked up,” he said.
“They went on a date once, and if they hooked up, it would have been once — and I confirmed that with my ex directly. She said, ‘He’s cringe, he’s definitely not my type, yuck’. That’s what her exact words were. So whatever he’s saying is bullsh*t.”
Although the exact details of their relationship aren’t clear, you have to admit it’s a strange coincidence that Scott’s former partner and Gia’s new partner know each other. I guess that’s the reality TV world for you!
Who is Alan Wallace?
Alan was a contestant on the second season of Love Triangle, a Stan dating show produced by the same team as MAFS. He is an ex-semi-professional AFL player and, at least at the time of going on Love Triangle, an electrician.
Since the show aired in 2023, he has been regularly photographed attending influencer events and hanging out with the MAFS crowd. He’s also close friends with 2024 groom Dave Thomas Hand and briefly dated 2023 bride Alyssa Barmonde.
Let’s just say that if his relationship with Gia doesn’t work out, we wouldn’t be too surprised if he popped up on a future season of MAFS.
