Just like the rest of Australia, it appears that participants of Married At First Sight (MAFS) have quickly moved on from the show, with Scott McCristal confirming that he’s sparked a new romance post-reality TV.
After failing to find love on the show with his assigned partner, Gia Fleur, Scott has since confirmed that he’s in a new relationship. However, it’s still in its “early days”.
“There is someone in the picture, but I can’t really confirm anything because it’s early days,” he told Daily Mail Australia shortly after the explosive Reunion finale.
And honestly, it’s truly what he deserves, especially after that clusterf*ck of a reality TV marriage!
For folks who’ve yet to catch up, Gia and Scott had one of the most explosive relationship breakdowns in MAFS history.

At the start, the pair had extreme physical chemistry, and they were gearing up to be one of the strongest couples in the experiment. However, things took a turn towards the end of the experiment, when Scott finally admitted that he couldn’t be honest with Gia, fearing her reaction to the truth.
Scott also admitted that he felt pressure to say “I love you back” when he wasn’t feeling the same, and claimed that his bride called him “every name under the sun”, which she denied.
Despite this, the duo decided to stay in the experiment, which brought them to the Final Test. Scott refused to participate in the task, whereas Gia heavily flirted with her alternative match. She also admitted that she wanted to be a “trophy wife” and that she only dates blokes who pay for the date.
After the Final Test, Gia ‘ditched’ the experiment, leaving Scotty alone. He then found out about what Gia did in the test and broke down on National TV.
“That’s actually embarassing,” Scott said.
“This is my answer. I feel sorry for you, Gia, but we’re done… she’s just fucked me over.”
The relationship officially imploded at the Final Dinner Party, when it was revealed that Gia had never really left Sydney and lied to Scott about being with her daughter. Things reached boiling point at the table with Gia reading an emotional letter asking for Scott back, but the groom clapped back with his own speech, declaring the end of their relationship.
Scott’s new relationship comes weeks after Gia spoiled their entire storyline by hard launching her new boyfriend, Love Triangle‘s Alan Wallace.
Unfortunately for this year’s experiment, it was only Stella Mickunaite and Filip Gregov who were successful, with the pair getting engaged at Final Vows.
