Just when you thought the Married At First Sight (MAFS) chaos was over for another year, it turns out the reality TV gods almost gave us a reunion that would’ve broken the internet.
Insiders have told PEDESTRIAN.TV that former couple Dave Hand and Jamie Marinos were both approached to appear on the Netflix reality show Perfect Match, which would’ve marked their first on-screen reunion since their very messy on-screen breakup in 2025.
“Producers were banking on the tension,” a source told us. “Putting them back in the same environment? That’s instant TV.”
And honestly, they’re not wrong. So, how did things fall apart? Apparently, it wasn’t a dramatic blow-up or last-minute scheduling issue, but instead came down to money.
“Jamie was open to the idea at first, but the salary didn’t stack up. She didn’t feel like it reflected her profile or what she’d bring,” the source claimed.
The decision reportedly blindsided producers, who were already imagining the chaos, confrontations and inevitable viral moments.

Jamie speaks out about Perfect Match
When approached for comment, Jamie confirmed to P.TV that she turned down Perfect Match “for a few reasons”.
“When I went on MAFS, I was completely authentic and genuinely open to building a real relationship. That wasn’t just for TV,” she said.
“I did, and still do, want to settle down and start a family. And I think staying aligned with that matters. An environment that doesn’t reflect that just isn’t where I’m at in life right now.”
She added that she also chose to protect her mental health by not putting herself back in a situation “with someone who caused me real pain for entertainment”.
“Right now, I’m focused on building a life I love and opportunities that align with where I’m going. But I wish everyone on Perfect Match well,” she shared.

Where do Jamie and Dave stand now?
Meanwhile, insiders have said Dave wasn’t thrilled with Jamie turning down the opportunity, and it’s “been a bit of a burn for him”.
“The opportunity was there for a huge TV moment, but Jamie walking away shut it down,” the source said. Awkward.
If you were hoping the pair might reconnect off-screen, don’t hold your breath. Sources say Jamie and Dave haven’t spoken in over a year, and whatever went down between them is very much unresolved.
“There’s still a lot of tension,” the insider added. “Seeing them together again would’ve been fireworks.”
So yeah. No reunion, no closure, no chaotic Netflix crossover moment. But somehow, the fact that it almost happened makes it even more compelling.
Because if there’s one thing reality TV has taught us, it’s this: sometimes the messiest relationships don’t need a sequel… even if we really wanted one.
