Deoria (UP): Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday targeted previous governments, saying that earlier a "parallel government of mafias" used to run in Uttar Pradesh, but the state was living up to its name today and was no longer referred to as 'BIMARU'.
Adityanath hit out at the Samajwadi Party (SP), which was ousted from power by the BJP in 2017, describing it as a "gang of dacoits" and said its president Akhilesh Yadav should apologise to the people for the "loot" of the state exchequer when it was in power.
