GORAKHPUR: It is the effect of good governance in the last five years that mafia and hooligans are migrating in fear and skilled, talented labourers are returning, said BJP national spokesperson Prem Shukla during a discussion on Purvanchal and migration organized by the Uttar Pradesh Development Forum in Gorakhpur on Tuesday.
Shukla, whose family had migrated to Mumbai long ago, said, "We have been in Mumbai since our last five generations and have seen the time when migrants from UP didn't get respect in Mumbai." The pain of migration has lessened after Yogi Adityanath became the chief minister, he said.
"Now, migrants are welcomed, their database made, skill mapping done, while good law and order has made UP industrial development friendly. Now, people of Mumbai and Gujarat are thinking of investing in Uttar Pradesh," Shukla added.
