Mae Muller has mocked her own poor result at the Eurovision Song Contest in a hilarious video, as angry fans rush to support her and argue that she deserved way better.
Going into Saturday's grand finale of Eurovision 2023, Mae was ninth favourite to win with her track I Wrote A Song and, having delighted the thousands of fans who were at Friday's jury final with her performance, hopes were high that she'd finish in the top 10 at least, with her even winning a mock results staged at the end of the night.
Even on Saturday night itself, the reaction in Liverpool's M&S Bank Arena could not have been louder for the 25-year-old, with Eurovision hosts including Graham Norton and Hannah Waddingham, completely bowled over by the atmosphere in the room as the crowd went wild.

However, unfortunately for Mae and the rest of the UK delegation, the scores for her were much less enthusiastic. She received just 15 points from the juries and then just ninew from the public, putting her second bottom of the leaderboard on a 24, six points ahead of Germany.
Many Eurovision fans were angry on Mae's behalf over her poor final standing, but she appears to be taking it in her stride as, on Monday, she posted a video on TikTok, captioned: 'when someone asks me how well i did at eurovision.."
In the video she appears on screen miming the words 'well…well…next question…see ya!” and, when posting the clip, she added: 'don't know about u but i had a fab time.'
The video quickly went viral and followed on from a tweet Mae sent on Sunday, in which she wrote: "just want to say thank u x i know i joke a lot but we really put our all into the last few months, not the result we hoped for but so proud of everyone & what we achieved on this journey. Congrats to all the countries, I’ll never forget this journey and I love you all."
