Madras HC junks plea against denial of nod to prosecute officials

MADURAI: The Madras high court has dismissed a plea challenging its order denying sanction to prosecute two officials from the highways department and criticised the petitioner in strong terms.

The petitioner, A Rasalraj, had submitted that he was assaulted by police and highways officials when he objected to demolition of his father-in-law’s temple for encroachment in Kanyakumari district in 2009.
