Madonna 'wouldn't miss tour for the world' says expert as fans worry about cancellations

Madonna "wouldn't miss her tour for the world" as she forced to postpone her stage comeback amid her hospitalisation, an expert has claimed.

The 64-year-old was rushed to the ICU after she was found unresponsive by her family members on Saturday. She's since been sent home but is still under medical care, say sources.

When her manager, Guy Oseary, revealed that she was suffering from a "serious bacterial infection," he also announced that her Celebration tour had been postponed.

"On Saturday, June 24, Madonna developed a serious bacterial infection which lead to a several-day stay in the ICU.

"Her health is improving, however she is still under medical care. A full recovery is expected. At this time we will need to pause all commitments, which includes the tour," he said in a written statement.

Madonna's daughter Lourdes Leon remained by the Material Girl singer's side throughout the ordeal.

Her family were said to be struggling after the "frightening and scary experience" of finding her unconscious and unresponsive.

As fans worry about the Madonna's health and whether her tour will be cancelled altogether, PR Consultant and Founder of PR with Perkes, Laura Perkes, exclusively told us that postponing her world tour "would have been a hard decision to make".

"For a powerhouse like Madonna, who is famed for being a workhorse, postponing her world tour would have been a hard decision to make; she wouldn't want to let her fans down, or inconvenience them in any way," she said.

"At a time when women don't feel as though they can prioritise themselves and put their health fist, it's a positive sign that she's taking the time to look after herself and focus on a speedy recovery.

"Especially in a world where there's so much toxicity in the workplace, where the wellness of others is an afterthought to production and profits. Once again, she's paving the way for others to follow in her footsteps," Laura added.

She concluded: "Madonna has dedicated her life to her music and her fans and I think she'd have to be seriously ill to cancel a tour completely. This tour is a celebration, for her, her longevity and her fans - I doubt she'd miss that for the world."
