Madonna scared the world this week when it was announced she had been rushed to hospital with a bacterial infection.
The Queen of Pop, 64, spent a number of days in intensive care after reportedly being found unconscious at home.
Thankfully, she was reportedly deemed well enough to return to her New York residency on Wednesday, with fans breathing a sigh of relief at the news.
However, while she has been allowed to go home, it's reported she is still bed-bound and has been since leaving hospital.
A source has said the infection is still wreaking havoc on the Like A Prayer singer's body.
And they went on to tell TMZ that the musician has been "vomiting uncontrollably" since her release from the ICU.
During her hospital stay, the singer was reportedly hooked up to a ventilator and intubated, and a breathing tube was passed down her throat and into her lungs.
It has been said the icon had actually been battling a low-grade fever for a month before her "body could no longer take it", leading to the medical intervention at the weekend.
Madonna had allegedly tried to power on through her symptoms as she was too busy rehearsing for her upcoming tour - sometimes training up to six times a week, according to reports.
And it remains to be seen whether her 40th anniversary tour will still go ahead, with those close to her said to be worried the star will defy doctor's orders to push on with it.
Madonna's world tour was earlier confirmed to be postponed, but it is unclear until when.
The worrying news about her condition was shared by her manager Guy Oseary on Instagram, who wrote in a statement: "On Saturday, June 24, Madonna developed a serious bacterial infection which lead to a several-day stay in the ICU."
"Her health is improving, however she is still under medical care. A full recovery is expected. At this time we will need to pause all commitments, which includes the tour."
A family source told Daily Mail on Thursday that her sudden hospitalisation had worked in a way to unite them all. "All of Madonna's family members have come together over this," the relative told the publication.
They revealed it would hopefully serve as a reminder to the singer that she needs to ensure she takes care of herself.
"This really woke her the f*** up," they continued.
