Madonna's worried family say they "prepared for the worst" after the star was rushed to ICU with a "serious bacterial infection". It's claimed the popstar was found unconscious in New York on Saturday and was rushed to hospital.
Madonna was believed to have been intubated for at least one night, however, she is now thought to be alert and recovering. The 64-year-old had been carrying out final checks for her Celebration tour, which was supposed to kick off next week, reports the Mirror.
A relative of the singer said in a recent interview that the "reality of the situation" became very real.
