Madonna 's dash to hospital last week sent shockwaves with the world of showbiz, with many praying for her safe return to health.
The Queen of Pop, 64, spent a number of days in intensive care and even required home assistance on her exit with reports suggesting she was still vomiting uncontrollably.
She had been found unconscious at home and her manager announced the songstress had developed a life-threatening bacterial infection. It led to the postponement of her upcoming world tour, and Kerry Katona is hoping the Like A Prayer singer takes heed of the scare and slows down.
The former Atomic Kitten singer, 42, admitted she was "sad" to hear the news of Madge's hospitalisation.
Talking to New Magazine, Kerry said she always thinks of Madonna as being someone who is fit and healthy. "She's consistently been a bit of a workaholic," she said. "So hopefully this will give her the push that she needs to take some time, slow down and relax."
Kerry continued to say that the world has changed considerably in the last few years and it's important for her idol to take a new approach as she wants her to "live forever".
Kerry's input comes after it was revealed Madonna is planning to "cut back" on her "gruelling" tour following the health scare. She was due to begin her run of shows in Canada later this month and was set to play 45 cities in total.
But sources now insist the number of shows that will eventually go ahead could be significantly less - if any at all. One source told the Daily Mail : "In the cold light of day, considering what Madonna has just been through, and considering she is 64, was it really sensible to book so many tour dates in the first place?"
They continued: "This schedule would be gruelling for even the youngest and fittest of artists.
"More than 70 gigs across the world is extreme. Madonna and her team are going to have to consider cutting back on the schedule."
The initial statement by Madonna's manager after her hospitalisation revealed the singer was postponing all commitments in order to get herself fit again.
Guy Oseary added in his statement: "We will share more details with you soon as we have them, including a new start date for the tour and for rescheduled shows."
Thankfully, it's anticipated that Madonna will make a full recovery from her illness.
