Madonna reveals new tour dates after terrifying health scare forced her to postpone tour

Madonna has revealed her plans for her latest tour after her recent health scare caused her to postpone her dates.

Taking to Twitter, she confirmed that she aims to start her tour in Europe in October, with plans to reschedule the North American leg of her shows on an unspecified date.

The Vogue singer was forced to postpone her comeback tour after she was rushed to hospital with a "serious bacterial infection." She had been found "unresponsive" by family members, who were said to be "preparing for the worst".

The 64-year-old was said to have been injected with the drug Narcan to combat her life-threatening septic shock. Madonna shared an update on her health, breaking her silence for the first time since returning home from hospital.

"Thank you for your positive energy, prayers and words of healing and encouragement," she wrote in a statement. "I have felt your love. I'm on the road to recovery and incredibly grateful for all the blessings in my life. My first thought when I woke up in the hospital was my children.

"My second thought was that I did not want to disappoint anyone who bought tickets for my tour," she admitted. "I also didn't want to let down the people who worked tirelessly with me over the last few months to create my show. I hate to disappoint anyone.

"My focus now is my health and getting stronger and I assure you, I'll be back with you as soon as I can! I couldn't be more grateful for your care and support. Love, M," she concluded.

Madonna has since been recovering at her New York City home and was even spotted by a fan enjoying a stroll with a friend in her Upper East Side neighbourhood.

In a video shared on TikTok, Madonna was seen wearing a pair of oversized sunglasses and a wide-brimmed hat.

She went for a casual outfit and wore navy shorts with a matching top. The singer also wore a pair of Nike trainers and leant against the lamppost as she waited to cross the street.

Over the top of the video, the TikTok user said: "Guess who we saw out and about today looking great," adding Madonna's hit song Lucky Star over the top.

Fans were overjoyed to see the singer out in public, with one person writing: "This brought so much light to us her fans - thank you for sharing!"
