Madonna King: There’s a huge data deficit on the real cost of living with COVID

It could be any 24-hour period, but let’s just take Tuesday this week – a day I missed, sick in bed, with COVID.

So were thousands and thousands of others. In WA, 17,033 new cases were recorded on the same day. In NSW, it was 12,265. In Victoria, 13,973 cases surfaced on Tuesday, and in Queensland, new cases numbered 7427.
