Cardiff Castle is in for a big week as huge artists will be taking over the grounds of the castle and performing to thousands of fans, you can read all the big gigs happening here. These concerts will also bring road closures to the city centre to allow fans to safely make their way to and from the gigs.
Madness will be performing and turning the castle into their 'house of fun' on Wednesday, June, 1 and you can read everything you need to know about the gig here. Three main roads around the castle will be closed.
Castle Street, Duke Street, and Kingsway will be closed from 10pm to 11pm to help crowds make their way home after the concert. Cardiff Council has also warned that closures could be brought forward if needed. You can keep up to date with What's On news by signing up to our newsletter here.

It is advised to allow plenty of time to travel in to the capital, whether visiting for the concert or another reason and to be prepared for the city to be busy. There are also plenty of 24-hour car parks you can use if driving in.
A few examples include Sophia Gardens Car Park, which charges 24 hours a day and costs up to £17.60 for the full day. Castle Mews Car Park which charges between 8am and 8pm Monday – Saturday and costs up to £6.10 for five hours, and North Road Car Park, which costs £8.80 for a full day (until midnight that evening) - its charging hours are Monday to Sunday between 8am and 6pm.
You will also need to have your tickets ready in order to get into the gig and see Madness perform. You need to have your e-tickets ready to display on your phone or bring printed copies and present these upon arrival. Without either form of ticket, you will not have access to the venue or concert. If you have an e-ticket, please ensure your phone is fully charged.
