BHOPAL: A 32-year-old woman was allegedly shot dead by her husband after a feud in Madhya Pradesh's Gwalior district in the early hours of Monday.
The accused has been identified as Rishabh Bhadoria, a resident of Thatipur area.
Bhadoria, a former spokesperson of Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee, absconded after the incident which reportedly took place around 2.30am.
Their two children were also inside the same room when he shot his wife Bhavna, said police.
Rishabh was living in Darpan Kalani colony with his wife, two children and his father.
Hearing the gun shot, his father rushed inside the room. Seeing Bhavna in a pool of blood, he informed the police.
The couple had heated arguments in the evening. Police are trying to ascertain the reason by questioning her family members.
Rishabh was allegedly involved in the violence that took place in Gwalior and Chambal on April 2. There are some other criminal cases registered against him following which, the district administration had initiated proceedings to get him externed out of city limits in 2020.
Police said there are around 16 cases against him which include murder, attempt to murder, criminal intimidation, assault, and possession of illegal weapons.
