Madhur Bhandarkar remembers Lata Mangeshkar; says, 'I can sense the void that she has left in our lives' - Exclusive

On the occasion of the 93rd birth anniversary of the late legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar, Madhur Bhandarkar, like many others from the film and music fraternity, who shared a special bond with her shared what he is missing today the most.

Speaking to ETimes, Madhur said, "Lata Mangeshkar was very special to me. We had worked together and she was one of the legends and warm-hearted people our film industry had. We always spoke and discussed my new projects and she used to bless me with her lovely wishes."

Speaking about the late singer's 93rd birth anniversary, the filmmaker shared, "I always wished her on birthday and I am missing that today and I am really feeling very sad about it. I remember, last year I made a phone call and wished her a happy birthday, but this year I can sense the void that she has left in our lives."

Interestingly, one of the National Award-winning director's iconic films 'Chandni Bar' completed 21 years today and the elated director also shared some throwback pictures from the film's sets on social media.

Madhur's latest release 'Babli Bouncer' starring Tamannaah Bhatia is also making noise for its light-hearted content as it premiered on a popular OTT platform on September 23.
