Madelene Sagstrom has been a professional golfer since 2015 after a successful spell at Louisiana State University.

1. Madelene Sagstrom was born 13 November 1992, in Uppsala, Sweden.
2. She first started playing golf at nine-years-old after growing up in a sport-orientated family, and learned golf with her parents at Enkoping Golf Club, which is to the north-west of Stockholm.
3. Sagstrom won the 2009 Swedish Junior Stroke-play Championship at age 16, and followed that win up with the 2011 French Junior Championship.
4. The Swede attended Louisiana State University and played for the LSU Lady Tigers Team. She was the 2015 South-eastern Conference Player of the Year and a finalist for the ANNIKA Award.
5. Sagstrom turned professional in 2015, making her debut at the 2015 Helsingborg Open on the Ladies European Tour.
6. She joined the Symetra Tour (now the Epson Tour) in 2016 and won three times to receive a 'Battlefield Promotion' to the LPGA Tour - on offer to players who win three times in one season on the Symetra Tour.
7. Sagstrom won the 2016 Symetra Tour Rookie of the Year and Player of the Year honors.
8. She was the first player ever to win over $100,000 and then $150,000 in a season on the Symetra Tour.
9. Former Ryder Cup player, European Tour Order or Merit winner and 11-time European Tour winner Robert Karlsson became her mentor in 2016.
10. Sagstrom won the Ladies European Tour's Qualifying School in December 2016, earning her membership for the 2017 Ladies European Tour.
11. Madelene's first win on the LPGA Tour came in 2020, at the Gainbridge LPGA at Boca Rio.
12. In her victory, she set a new course record 62 (-10) at Boca Rio Golf Club in the second round
13. She finished T2nd at the 2021 AIG Women's Open after bogeying the final hole, her best Major result to date.
14. She played in the Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024 Olympics.
15. She has been on four European Solheim Cup teams - 2017, 2021, 2023 and 2024.

17. Her husband, Jack Clarke, is a professional caddie who has been on the bag for a number of Swedish players including Ludvig Aberg, Anna Nordqvist and Caroline Hedwall as well as Sagstrom from time to time.
