Manchester United's supporters saluted Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho after they both scored late on to seal a 2-0 win over Leeds United at Elland Road on Sunday afternoon - praising the character of Erik ten Hag's side to claim the victory.
After being under the cosh for most of the contest, offering very little in terms of an attacking threat, United got their noses in front with just ten minutes of normal time left on the clock, courtesy of Rashford's 21st goal of the season. He headed home Luke Shaw's excellent centre, though he faced an anxious wait as VAR looked at a possible offside against the academy graduate.
With their tails up following Rashford's opener, United added a second to their tally just five minutes later through substitute Garnacho. He was slipped in by Wout Weghorst and buried a low effort past Leeds shot-stopper Ilan Meslier to mark his second Premier League goal of the campaign.

In truth, the result was not a fair reflection of how the game had mapped out, though United's players, fans and manager Erik ten Hag would not have cared one bit. The win has lifted them above cross-city rivals Manchester City and into second in the table, ahead of City playing later in the day.
While a much-improved performance will be needed against Barcelona on Thursday night, the result could not have been much better. Fans have taken to social media to praise United's players for their performances during the 'proper battle' and the 'hard fought' victory.
Below, MEN Sport has taken a close look at how United's supporters reacted to a much-needed victory.
