West Ham United captain Declan Rice has gone viral after a video was posted of him giving a young fan his shirt following the Hammers’ 1-0 win over Manchester United on Sunday night.
Rice played a starring role for David Moyes’ side in their win over the Red Devils after Rice missed the trip to Manchester City four days earlier through illness.
After his spectacular performance, manager Moyes heaped praise on him, calling him the best English midfielder in football and saying he would be “ very expensive ” for any clubs wishing to sign him this summer.

Following the game, Rice showed he is just as classy off the pitch as he was on it, taking time to see a young supporter after doing his media duties.
After giving him his shirt and a couple of hugs, the supporter’s father was quick to say thank you on social media, posting, “What a hero you are @_DeclanRice thanks so much. If anyone can help me get this signed please as I didn’t have a pen.”
That video has since been viewed several million times on social media and Rice was very quick to respond.
Despite his huge performance and the result, Rice was more thrilled to meet the young fan, adding that it was a pleasure to sign it for him.
“Seeing your boy made my night,” Rice tweeted. “This is what it’s all about! Would be a pleasure to sign it for you,” followed by a heart emoji
