Made In Chelsea's Ollie Locke forced to change baby's name after being mocked

Ollie Locke has already slammed the "daddy police" as he was forced to change his daughter's name before she has even been born.

The Made In Chelsea star, 36, is preparing to welcome twins with husband Gareth but has already faced criticism.

The couple have been trying for a baby for three-and-a-half years and suffered a heartbreaking miscarriage.

They shared their happy news earlier this year and are set to become proud dads to a son and a daughter in the summer via a surrogate.

Ollie and Gareth have been sharing their excitement for their new bundles of joy, but also shared some of the "annoying" comments.

"What annoys me is that people say you have no idea how your life is going to change," the reality TV star said on the Twinning It podcast.

"I do understand, that's why we've gone through IVF, it’s not going to be like it was before, but let me go on my own adventure.

"It’s condescending sometimes, becomes a bit annoying, it’s a bit like ‘you wait for darling’. They say wait for the mummy police, or our case daddy police."

Ollie added: "We have both names and goodness me that’s a struggle. We tell everyone who we meet what our baby names are.

"One was a girl I knew years ago a beautiful girl. We came up with a name similar and I told Binky who told her best friend who had a baby called that as well who went mental at me so we’ve changed it somewhat.

"It’s a very similar name but not the same name. We’re not the kind of people who want normal names."

"We love old Greek, old Roman, old Shakespeare almost names. Cressida was a name we nearly went for River but lots of people have that name.

"For the boy, I like names like, Obi and Orthello. I found girls' names incredibly difficult but boys names came easily."

Made In Chelsea favourite Ollie revealed the couple were expecting twins in a wholesome Instagram post in March.

"We are beyond delighted to finally be able to share the news that we are expecting twin baby Locke-Locke’s into the world this summer," the excited star penned at the time.

"You have all been so wonderful throughout the last 3 years of us trying to have a family and we promise to share every step of this adventure with you all. For all those on their own journey to become parents we are with you and sending all the baby dust your way.

"Thank you to our sensational surrogate @bex7ward for being the most incredible human, the love we have for you and your family is just another level," he added.

At the time, Ollie and Gareth shared a photo of a tiny bathrobe with Baby Locke Locke embossed on it on Instagram.

Captioning the snap, Ollie explained that "through the course of nature, at 6 weeks and 2 days it stopped growing and had gone".

However, the star has since revealed that it was in fact two babies who had sadly died.

"As we get towards the finish line, it's become very much more real. It felt like our lives were on hold but now it feels like we're moving forward.

"The babies coming along has reinvigorated everything. When you get such huge disappointment every time, you forget what you're actually trying to achieve.

"And that's been heartbreaking; not being able to see the light at the end of the tunnel and only seeing the disappointment," children's author Gareth told Hello! Magazine.
