More than 40 people have been arrested and 74 illegal e-bikes have been seized as part of a week-long operation by police in northwest London.
The operation saw 50 Metropolitan Police officers deployed on extra patrols on Kilburn High Road, with warrants carried out at a number of addresses and licensing checks at stores suspected of selling illegal goods.
More than 1,000 suspected stolen mobile phones were seized during a raid at a convenience store, where shelves of devices were stashed behind a padlocked door, and four men aged between 22 and 63 were arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods and possession with intent to supply drugs.
Two machetes measuring more than 50cm were seized from a barbershop on the high street, with two men arrested in connection.
A stop site was also set up to target e-bikes, e-scooters and mopeds being driven in illegally in the area and being used for crimes, resulting in three arrests and a number of seizures, including a van with connections to drug dealing which contained nitrous oxide cannisters worth more than £3,000.
Inspector Yu Zhang, who led the operation, said: "This crackdown has seen drugs, weapons and dangerous illegal e-bikes taken off the streets. We know these offences are ones that our communities care about, and they want to see officers taking robust action.
"We have done exactly that, this week-long operation will disrupt the criminal networks in Kilburn, ensuring the area is undoubtedly safer for the community. This builds on the work we have already been doing in the North West, with neighbourhood crime cut by 6.4 per cent over the last year."
In total, 45 arrests were made for offences including possession with intent to supply class A drugs, possession of offensive weapons and shoplifting.
74 vehicles were seized, as were eight weapons including machetes and knives, along with 1,161 stolen phones.
The Met reported that they recovered 2,894 knives and 3,750 weapons in 2025, a 75% increase on the previous year.
