A crash between a police car and a van closed all lanes on the M60 near Salford last night. The smash blocked the northbound carriageway near Junction 15 for the Swinton Interchange at around 5pm.
Queues tailed back for miles to Junction 7. Two lanes reopened shortly after the crash and the motorway fully reopened about 7.30pm.
One police car and a recovery van had been involved in the crash. Video footage taken of the crash shows damage to the rear of the police car.

Police said there were no serious injuries reported and no arrests were made. An internal investigation is now ongoing into the smash, the force added.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: "We can confirm it was classed as an road traffic collision between a police car and recovery van. All lanes were blocked for a short while at around 5pm but was resolved shortly with internal investigations ongoing."
