Drivers travelling on the M6, M53, M56, M57 and M58 have been warned to expect delays as a number of motorways will be partially closed this week.
The motorways will be partially closed for essential roadworks and National Highways has warned drivers to be aware. This week (March 21 to March 27) will see the M56 closed every night this week.
National Highways also have pending major roadworks in place on the M53 northbound for barrier repairs. The company has not confirmed which junctions will be closed yet.

Here's a list of all the motorway closures you can expect this week:
Monday, March 21
The M6 northbound between junctions 22 (Winwick Interchange) and 26 (Orrell Interchange) will be closed between 9pm and 6am.
The M6 southbound between junctions 22 (Winwick Interchange) and 21a (Croft interchange) will be closed between 9pm and 6am.
The M53 southbound between junctions three (Heswall) and five (Hooton Interchange) will be closed between 8pm and 5am.
The M56 eastbound between junctions 15 (Ellesmere Port) and 14 (Elton) will be closed between 9pm and 6am.
The M57 northbound between junctions one (Tarbock) and four (Randles Farm Interchange) will be closed between 8pm and 6am.
The M57 southbound between junctions three (Huyton Spur Interchange) and four (Randles Farm Interchange) between 8pm and 6am.
Tuesday, March 22
The M6 southbound between junctions 22 (Winwick Interchange) and 21a (Croft interchange) will be closed between 9pm and 6am.

The M56 eastbound between junctions 15 (Ellesmere Port) and 14 (Elton) will be closed between 9pm and 6am.
The M56 westbound between junctions 14 (Elton) and 15 (Ellesmere Port) will be closed between 9pm and 6am.
The M57 northbound between junctions one (Tarbock) and four (Randles Farm Interchange) will be closed between 8pm and 6am.
The M57 southbound between junctions three (Huyton Spur Interchange) and four (Randles Farm Interchange) between 8pm and 6am.
The M58 east and westbound between junctions one (Maghull Interchange) and three (Bickerstaffe Interchange) between 9pm and 5am.
Wednesday, March 23
